I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Muslims in Harrow, Eid Mubarak.
I hope that you had a peaceful Ramadan, and that you were able to spend valuable time with your family and friends. This year, I had the honour and pleasure of attending the public Iftar at Harrow Central Mosque.
Eid-ul-Fitr is an occasion for Muslims to celebrate the end of the Holy Month, following a period of reflection and spirituality. Islam is a religion that prides itself on its values of a commitment to peace, love and prosperity for all. The Muslim community plays a hugely important role in our society, contributing to our culture, economy and civic life.
I am proud to represent the Muslim community in my constituency of Harrow West, and hope you have a joyous Eid celebration.
